A nonpartisan effort for every Texas district

Not red. Not blue. Lone Star.

Before you vote on November 3, get their answer on the record. We are asking every candidate for the Texas House and Senate to answer ten line items in their own words, and to sign a position on four bills.

Two asks, before the ballots are printed

Get their answer on the record.

Answer the issues

  • Pick at least five of the ten line items. All ten are welcome.
  • Rank them in your own order of importance, not ours.
  • Five uninterrupted minutes on each one, recorded whenever it suits you.
  • Aired unedited on local radio, free to the candidate.
2

Sign a position on four bills

  • Support, oppose, or undecided. All three are answers.
  • Signed and dated, posted exactly as written.
  • Four bills headed for the Legislature in January 2027.
  • Silence is the only answer that tells voters nothing.

The four bills

Four bills, written out in plain English

These came out of the ten line items Texans told us are hurting them. We advocate for all four openly. We never ask a candidate to agree with us to be treated fairly here.

Constitutional amendment

Trust Texans Initiative

  • Texans could propose a law or an amendment by petition.
  • Texans could also repeal a law the Legislature passed.
  • Signatures needed statewide and in every Senate district.
  • Voters decide it on November 2, 2027.

What a Yes meansYou will vote to send it to Texans.

  • Pauses permits, water rights, grid hookups, and tax breaks for large data centers.
  • Until that town or county has a certified study of water, grid, rates, and local costs.
  • Public hearings, a firm deadline, and local authority to act.

What a Yes meansYou will vote to study a community first.

  • Keeps legal hemp products legal and voids the July 2026 reclassification.
  • Dismisses the prosecutions that rest on it, and clears the records at no cost.

What a Yes meansYou will vote to keep legal hemp legal.

Senate bill

Education Savings Account Repeal Act

  • Ends the education savings account program created by S.B. 2 in 2025.
  • Families are still paid for approved expenses already run up.

About one minute

Find your candidates and write to them

Enter your address once. We show everyone on your ballot for the Texas House and Senate, what each of them has said so far, and we write the email and address it for you. No copying, no pasting, and nothing you type is stored or sent to us.

Step 1. Where do you live?

Your street address is what decides your Texas House district. A ZIP code on its own crosses too many districts to be right. Nothing you type is stored or sent to us.

The Trust Texans Initiative

Trust Texans to decide.

A proposed constitutional amendment restoring the people’s right of initiative and referendum, so Texans can place measures before the Legislature, and before voters themselves if it does not act.
